About us

The association aims to represent the interests of the natural science museums to the Association of Swiss Museums, the Academy of Natural Sciences, the Swiss Confederation, politicians and the general public. Our goal is to make visible and communicate the importance of scientific collections and museums as part of the national and international cultural heritage.

The institutions that constitute the association preserve around 50 million objects. These items document the diversity of species over the centuries and represent the geological, palaeontological, faunistic and floristic heritage of Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
